Crossroads Poll: Biden And Clinton Down Big Against Generic Republican

American Crossroads released a new online poll of registered voters in swing states showing that Hillary Clinton is performing miserably against a “generic Republican” nominee.

No specific Republican candidates were mentioned in the poll, but when asked to choose Clinton or a Republican, 50 percent of voters chose a Republican. The poll featured a sample size of 1,204 active voters in Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Nevada, Ohio and Virginia.

Sixty percent of voters polled indicated that they distrusted Clinton, while only 39 percent said that they trusted her.

“Hillary Clinton’s unraveling email story and pandering flip-flops have turned her into a caricature of a politician in most voters’ minds,” said Communications Director for American Crossroads Ian Prior in a statement reacting to his own poll. “But if Democrats think that Joe Biden will help put an end to their long Hillary nightmare, they are in for a rude awakening.”

Biden received only 36 percent compared to a 48 percent rating for a generic Republican.
