Prince Harry, and his scruffy beard, returned to the United States today to meet with Michelle Obama and promote the Invictus Games, a sporting event for injured active duty and veteran service members.
“All right, ladies. Prince Harry is here. Don’t act like you don’t notice,” Michelle Obama said during the event, causing the prince to “blush,” according to the pool report. Dr. Jill Biden was also at the event.
The royal visit continues the cordial relationship between the First Lady and the royal prince.
Michelle Obama, and her daughters Malia and Sasha, met Prince Harry for tea in June during their visit to Great Britain in June. He last traveled to Washington in May 2013.
Prince Harry will also meet with President Obama this afternoon.
“I expect the President to thank Prince Harry for the important and inspirational work he is doing on behalf of wounded warriors,” White House Deputy Press Secretary Eric Schultz said when previewing the visit with reporters aboard Air Force One.
It remains unclear why Prince Harry’s beard was voted the “sexiest beard in the world” according to a survey conducted by Crown Clinic.
