Missouri Student Body Prez. ‘We Are Not Seeing More Incidences’ of Racism

Payton Head. the student association president at Mizzou, the University of Missouri-Columbia, admitted there hasn’t been a rise in racist events on his campus.

“We are not seeing more incidences, what we are seeing are students who are empowered to speak about these incidences on their campuses around the nation,” Head said in an interview with CNN.

University of Missouri President Tim Wolfe resigned Monday following a drip of vocal frustration that led to a flood of protest from the school’s football team and student advocacy groups in response to purported incidents of racism.

“The University of Missouri is by no means a bad school,” Head added.

“What we are seeing right here is that students are empowered to speak up about what is happening here,” Head said.
