A domestic violence assault charge has been filed in Midland County, Texas, after a man allegedly struck his girlfriend and threatened her with a knife because she would not smell his armpit. The man was later arrested and is in the Midland County jail.

Robinson Pinilla-Bolivar, Jr. is claimed to have approached his girlfriend while she was washing dishes and demanded that she smell his armpit, CBS7 in Midland reported. When she refused, he allegedly struck her in the back of her head with his fist and then picked up a knife and threatened her with it.

Pinilla-Bolivar reportedly fled the scene after that and his girlfriend called the police. Following a police investigation, Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Terry M. Luck issued a warrant for the suspect’s arrest on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The suspect was arrested on November 13 during a traffic stop and is being held in the Midland County jail on a $25,000 bond. Breitbart News learned that the suspect reports to be an American citizen on his intake records. He does not have a Texas Driver’s License, according to the Midland County Sheriff’s Office. He claimed to be born in Maracay, but no state or country was listed. No immigration hold has been placed on the suspect.

The suspect claims he did not threaten his girlfriend, according to CBS7. He claimed he simply threw the knife into the sink because he was angry.
