Hillary Campaign, New York Times, Decide Not To Use Hillary’s Original Name

Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton will no longer be known in the established media by her full name, Hillary Rodham Clinton.

The New York Times noted that it reached out to the Clinton campaign “about how to refer to the Democratic presidential candidate,” and on Monday the question was officially answered by the Clinton campaign itself.

No more “Rodham,” says the Clinton camp.

The Associated Press and The Washington Post are also ditching “Rodham” and only referring to the candidate as “Hillary Clinton” from now on.

Clinton grew up in Chicago in a relatively wealthy family and kept her maiden name, in addition to her husband’s name, for decades until her 2016 presidential campaign.
