WOODBRIDGE, Virginia — GOP presidential candidate and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says “it’s a real tragedy” there are more foreign born workers in the United States “when an increasing number of Americans can’t find jobs.”

Breitbart News asked Huckabee about the 94 million people out of the labor force and the fact that the number of foreign born workers in the United States has increased to 25 million people.

“It’s a real tragedy when an increasing number of Americans can’t find jobs and foreign born workers can come here and find work,” he responded. “It just shows a complete imbalance of this administration’s approach to jobs and the economy.”

We have such an anemic rate of growth. It’s been under one percent, zero-point for so long. We’re not going to be able to give people a chance at the American dream, even a chance to stay above water without a significant in the increase in economic growth. It needs to be a minimum of four percent or more.

Huckabee noted that, usually, around this time of year jobs numbers are on the rise.

“These job numbers are another gut punch to people right here at Christmas time when typically you start to see job numbers go up,” he added.
