Planned Parenthood Joins LGBT Groups To Push Their Political Agenda In Schools

The nation’s largest abortion provider Planned Parenthood announced in a tweet it’s working with militant LGBT groups to promote sex-related curricula in schools.

The groups want all students to get instructions on the lifestyles of “lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.”

Planned Parenthood has long promoted abortion under the guise of “women’s healthcare.” Using the same strategy, the organization is joining forces with militant LGBT groups, such as the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN), the Human Rights Campaign, and the Sexuality Information and Education Council of the United States (SIECUS) to promote so-called “safe sex” among LGBTQ youth.

The groups are jointly attacking “abstinence-only-until-marriage” education in a new brief titled “A Call to Action: LGBTQ Youth Need Inclusive Sex Education,” which calls for a “safe and accepting space” for LGBTQ students in schools and the requirement of LGBTQ-inclusive sex education programs in schools.

GLSEN, in fact, wants schools to be required to use instructional time to provide “LGBTQ inclusive education for all students –from crucial guidance for LGBTQ students on protecting themselves from HIV and other sexually transmitted infections, to ensuring safe, supportive environments in which to learn about their sexual health.”

The organization claims that not providing such instruction contributes to “unsafe school environments.”

The joint brief argues LGBTQ youth suffer from “Minority Stress Factors” and refers to them as “Sexual Minority Youth,” while it also demands taxpayer funded programs in schools to promote LGBTQ-inclusive sex ed.

The groups say that in abstinence-only sex ed curricula, LGBTQ are harmed by messages that “reinforce gender stereotypes and heterosexual relationships.”

“What do guys talk about in the locker room? (Girls) What do girls talk about at sleepover parties? (Guys),” is an example of an offensive discussion topic according to the brief.

The groups also say messages such as, “The only safe sex is in a marriage relationship where a man and a woman are faithful to each other for life,” and “It is interesting that domestic violence, child abuse and increased poverty have also increased in proportion to the decline in the sanctity of marriage,” are also contributing to “unsafe” school environments for LGBTQ youth.

During her testimony before members of Congress recently, Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards said that “one and a half million youth and adults participate in our educational programs.”

In 2014, however, pro-life organization Live Action produced several investigative videos exposing Planned Parenthood’s disturbing practices of advising young girls how to participate in such dangerous sex activities as bondage/discipline and sadomasochistic sex (BDSM).

As Breitbart News reported, Planned Parenthood “counselors” offered guidance to undercover investigators–believed to be teens–on how to enjoy “safe” BDSM sexual behaviors, including “whipping,” “tying up,” and “asphyxiation.”

Planned Parenthood has been the recipient of Obamacare grants specifically for sex education, as Live Action President Lila Rose observed.

“Here’s an abortion corporation, which gets 45% of its budget from the taxpayers, telling 15- and 16-year-olds not only to have sex, but also to choke each other in the process,” Rose said. “Police should be busting down its door.”

GLSEN was founded by gay activist and former Obama administration “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings, who currently serves as executive director of the Arcus Foundation, a powerful LGBT activist organization. The foundation’s founder is billionaire Jon Stryker, heir of the Stryker medical technology company. He aided President Barack Obama’s 2012 re-election campaign as a top bundler. Arcus provides “social justice grants” to “support emerging LGBT leaders.”

In September of 2014, Catholic San Francisco reported “abundant evidence” that the campaign against San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone for his decision to speak during the March for Marriage in Washington, D.C., was orchestrated by the leftist Faithful America, which was funded by Stryker’s Arcus Foundation, LGBT activist Tim Gill of Colorado’s Gill Foundation, billionaire George Soros, and the Evelyn & Walter Haas Jr. Fund.
