The White House is not happy about news that stocks for gun companies were soaring after President Obama’s recent push on gun control.
When asked about that news by reporters at the White House press briefing, Press Secretary Josh Earnest appeared concerned.
“I guess if I can hearken back to High School English, I guess this is the definition of tragic irony,” Earnest replied.
He did not, however, suggest that the president was pursuing the wrong strategy, but instead repeated the president’s call for more gun control.
