President Obama’s favorite moment of 2015? Sitting in the rainbow lit White House while a crowd of people gathered outside to celebrate the legalization of gay marriage.

“The gathering outside the White House following the Supreme Court ruling upholding the right of same sex couples to marry,” he replied, when asked for his favorite moment of 2015 by People magazine.

Obama has previously recognized the rainbow lighting for the White House as a highlight of his presidency.

“To see people gathered in the evening outside on a beautiful summer night, and to feel whole and to feel accepted, and to feel that they had a right to love — that was pretty cool. That was a good thing,” he said in June of this year.
