From Corey Charlton writing at the Daily Mail:

Boston Marathon bombing survivor Kevin White – who was concussed, hit with shrapnel and suffered a perforated eardrum in the attack – has unexpectedly died from a sudden illness.

Mr White, 37, was a spectator near the finish line when the first of two bombs went off.

He later described the blast throwing him to the ground just moments after he arrived at the race with his parents Mary Jo and Bill.

Mr White, who was one of around 260 people to be injured that day, went on to run the marathon himself in 2014 and 15, and was planning on running it again next year, according to the Boston Athletic Association website.
