Jeb Bush Features Carly Fiorina Staffer on ‘Women Leaders’ Coalition

On Tuesday, Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush released a list of 50 women who his campaign claimed were supporters of his 2016 bid for the White House.

“The list includes a local mayor, businesswomen, GOP leaders and community activists who will assist with voter contact and turnout for South Carolina’s February 20th primary election,” read the statement from the Bush campaign. “This is the second round of women leaders endorsing Governor Bush and will serve as an active part of his organization and assist with GOTV efforts in state.”

Morganne McGuirk, the South Carolina Field Director for Carly Fiorina’s 2016 bid, is listed as a member of Bush’s women leaders coalition, Katie Hughes, the Communications Director for Fiorina, told Breitbart News.

The link to his campaign’s statement does not currently include her name on the list.

“This group will be critical in continuing to recruit supporters to the campaign and organize precincts before Election Day,” the Bush campaign said in its press release.

Hughes took to Twitter to announce Bush’s alleged misstep, writing:

According to the Real Clear Politics polling data average for South Carolina, Bush currently stands at 10.5 percent in the polls, good for fourth place in the Palmetto State behind Donald Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL). Fiorina continues to struggle in South Carolina, with polling showing her behind most candidates.

UPDATE: Breitbart News has learned that McGuirk had previously endorsed Jeb Bush, in July 2015, before joining the Fiorina campaign.  This story has been updated for clarification purposes.
