Vermont Goes to Donald Trump, with Kasich in Second, Rubio a Distant Third

As Vermont came down to the wire, at midnight eastern Fox News called the state for Donald Trump with John Kasich a close second.

With 84 percent of the precincts reporting, Fox, along with the Washington Post, called the Green Mountain State for Trump with Ohio Governor John Kasich edging out Florida Senator Marco Rubio for second place. Only about a thousand votes separated Trump and Kasich at the time the race was called for Trump.

Of note, with his distant 19 percent third place showing, Marco Rubio at this time won’t get any delegates out of Vermont. It’s unclear if Rubio will make up the difference to get to 20 percent to get any delegates.
