WASHINGTON (AP) — Bernie Sanders wins the Democratic presidential caucuses in Maine, adding an 8th state to his total in the 2016 race for president.
The Associated Press declared Mr. Sanders winner with 80% of precincts reporting. Mr. Sanders was drawing 64.2% support, beating former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton when the race was called.
The victory gives Sanders a total of three victories over the weekend to Clinton’s one.
