Pollster and Cruz-aligned Super PAC head Kellyanne Conway discussed Tuesday’s election results with Breitbart News Daily host Stephen K. Bannon on SiriusXM, calling it “a good day because he got forty delegates and a good day because John Kasich has been trying to be a huge spoiler. He calls it name calling, we call it delusional … egomaniacal, because he went and made a big play into Utah.”

Added Conway:

I think John Kasich has a lot of soul searching to do this morning in a serious way because if he truly wants to stop Donald Trump, then he has to think about what his role is in Trump getting 1237 (delegates), or not getting 1237. It’s not just that he’s being a spoiler to Ted Cruz, he’s going to carry Donald Trump on his back a little bit in some of these states if he stays in.

Asked if the recent rush of Republican establishment endorsements for Cruz makes the Texas Senator suddenly an establishment figure, Conway responded, “It’s an unfair accusation to say that Ted Cruz is part of the establishment, now. … We’ve already beaten the establishment. They’re watching from the sidelines, now. And if they want to endorse Mr. Cruz to bring with them people in their states to try to match the free earned media that Mr. Trump gets, to the tune of $2 billion it was estimated last week, … very few people would say no to that.”

Added Conway:

When the establishment is coming to Ted Cruz, he’s not going to the establishment. He’s not going to back down. Ted Cruz announced his presidential run one year ago today. And in that time, I would defy anyone to show how he’s gone establishment. … Look at what Lindsey Graham has said about Ted Cruz  three weeks before he held a fund raiser for him? He was calling for his death in the U.S. Senate. I think it shows how gracious Sen Cruz is.

Conway went on to insist that endorsements from establishment Republicans only prove that the establishment positions weren’t winning with voters, not that Cruz will change his positions to accommodate his new found endorsers.
