New York City Councilman Joe Borelli tells Breitbart News Daily SiriusXM host Stephen K. Bannon: “Last night Staten Island led the charge in delivering this tremendous win for Donald Trump,” adding that the area he represents “went 9 to 1” in favor of Trump.
“Staten Island is a huge, pivotal county both statewide and city-wide,” continued Borelli, “It’s the only county in the city where you have a vibrant two party system,” he said.
In terms of the island over all, Trump scored a solid 80 percent of the total vote.
Trump, who visited the Island on Sunday, got an astounding 80 percent of the vote here.
The New York victory for Donald Trump puts the frontrunner “on the path to 1,237” delegates, according to Borelli, while positioning him for a “tsunami” like victory across similar states this coming Tuesday, when he could pick up as many as 140 additional delegates.
Added Borelli, “And most importantly, Ted cruz is mathematically eliminated from getting to that number.”
