The nation’s largest abortion provider says Ted Cruz lost his bid for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination because of his repeated attacks against abortion.

Cruz, and his choice for running mate Carly Fiorina, are strongly pro-life. Planned Parenthood, which reports it performed 323,999 abortions and was the recipient of $553.7 million in taxpayer funding last year, tweeted the two “built campaigns on attacking PP & undermining #reprorights. That will never win elections.”
Planned Parenthood president Cecile Richards also tweeted that it is sad that “Ted Cruz is going back to the Senate,” and the abortion giant issued a mocking warning: “Ta, ta, @TedCruz. We imagine your crusade against #reprorights won’t end anytime soon, but we’re ready.”

Cruz encouraged states to take the lead in defunding Planned Parenthood after the Republican-led Congress refused to do so.
“I encourage every state legislature and every governor to stand up and lead on Planned Parenthood,” the former GOP 2016 contender told Breitbart News last year during an interview. “Unfortunately, Republican leadership in Washington is unwilling to lead and, indeed, it’s Republican leadership who’s joined with Barack Obama in leading the fight to preserve taxpayer funding for Planned Parenthood.”
Planned Parenthood and its abortion lobby allies have endorsed Hillary Clinton for president in the Democrat primary.
