In a follow-up to their failed sit-in for gun control, House Democrats are using June 29 as a “National Day of Action” for gun control.

The “National Day of Action” entails holding “roundtables, town halls, press conferences and similar events in their home districts” to try to achieve the gun control their June 24/25 sit-in failed to secure.

According to USA Today, the Democrats are partnering with willing “survivors of gun violence, local law enforcement, and faith leaders” in a bid to “expand background checks and bar gun sales to individuals on the FBI’s no-fly list.”

Ironically, Orlando jihadist Omar Mateen passed a background check for both of his weapons, and Bloomberg.com reports he was not on the no-fly list, so neither of the Democrat proposals would have done anything to stop or even hinder the Orlando terror attack.

Breitbart News previously reported that House Democrats emerged from their failed sit-in pledging “guerrilla tactics” for gun control. Politico reported Democrat Caucus Vice Chairman Joe Crowley (D-NY-14) praising his colleagues’ determination to secure gun control, saying, “It’s a new day in Washington; it’s a new way to fight.”
