A young boy in Kentucky was so eager to be baptized that he decided to baptize himself.
Jordan Warrick, 6, was waiting to be baptized at the West End Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky, when he decided to take matters into his own hands, reports KTRK.
“(Jordan) will demonstrate his faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, by willingly being baptized this morning. He’s been waiting on this day a long time,” the pastor said.
Just before the pastor officially baptizes him, Jordan says, “I’ll do it!” and he holds his nose and submerges his own head underwater. He comes up from the water with his arms up in victory.
Everybody in the congregation, including the pastor, breaks out in laughter.
His father, Terrence Warrick, recorded the whole thing and posted the touching video to Facebook, where it quickly went viral overnight.
The video has been viewed over 4.7 million times.
