A woman from Henderson, Tennessee, has been charged with sexually molesting a 15-year-old boy, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI).
After a request by 26th District Attorney General Jerry Woodall, the TBI opened an investigation into the relationship between Andrea Watson, 23, and the minor boy, WKRN reported.
Court documents allege that the relationship between the adult woman and the boy took place between May and July of 2015.
As a result of the investigation, the Chester County Grand Jury returned an indictment against Watson on October 25. The suspect surrendered herself to authorities on November 1 and was released after posting a $3,000 bond.
Watson is next scheduled to appear in court on December 20.
According to statistics released by Child Welfare League-America, as many as 10,377 children were found to be victims of abuse or neglect in Tennessee in 2013, a three percent increase over 2012.
