President-elect Donald Trump aims to correct the record, after Bill Clinton said that the president-elect “doesn’t know much,” but knew how to convince angry white meant to vote for him.
“Bill Clinton stated that I called him after the election. Wrong, he called me (with a very nice congratulations),” Trump writes on Twitter. “He ‘doesn’t know much’ especially how to get people, even with an unlimited budget, out to vote in the vital swing states (and more). They focused on wrong states.”
Clinton told the Record-Review that Trump called him, and that he told them that he thought that Hillary Clinton “was tougher than I thought she’d be.”
Clinton also ridiculed Trump’s description of his victory as a landslide.
“Landslide? I got something like 370 electoral votes,” Clinton said. “That was a landslide.”
