Donald Trump’s spokesman Sean Spicer says the President-elect would be “all ears” with regard to advice from the FBI on how to decrease record-high violence in Chicago.

“The President-elect would do anything, would be willing to listen to anything that can be done to make sure Americans are kept safe. If the FBI has ideas about how to do that, he would definitely be all ears to hear that,” Spicer told reporters on Tuesday in response to a question about if the Trump administration plans to ask the FBI for help on dealing with the violence in Chicago.

The question comes after Trump posted on Twitter about the murder rate in Chicago, saying if Mayor Rahm Emanuel cannot fix the situation, he should request federal help.

According to ABC News, the total murder rate levels out to two murders per day in Chicago.

The homicide rate in the Windy City is at its highest level in more than two decades, since 1996 when there was 796 homicides.
