A Florida woman was arrested for assaulting a police officer after throwing a used tampon at him, reports reveal.

On January 23, St. Petersburg resident Tacora Fields, 28, was engaged in a loud verbal argument with another person when police arrived to break up the fight.

The arrival of police did not calm Fields’ belligerence, and she turned from her former target to continue her argument with the police. At one point she began threatening to hit officers with a tampon.

According to police reports she did just that. Fox 13 reported that an officer was hit in the shoulder with a “wet, white paper object” after Fields reached down into her pants and pulled out a used tampon.

Reports also note that as soon as she threw the used tampon, she tried to run from the scene. Police chased her and eventually used a stung gun to subdue her.

Fields was charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer and released from the Pinellas County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
