Thousands of anti-Trump protesters in San Francisco gathered on Ocean Beach and spelled out “RESIST!!” in big letters using their bodies Friday morning.

The word had “already been etched into the sand before protesters arrived,” chanting, “We want a leader, not a creepy tweeter!” and carrying signs such as “Fight Fascism in USA,” the Daily Mail reports.

“One of the exclamation marks was created by members of the grassroots anti-war organization Codepink, who were clad in neon pink,” reports Daily Mail.

The organizer of the political statement, Brad Newsham, 65, has been organizing other events like this one since 2006 when he organized a “Beach Impeach Project” to protest then-President George W. Bush.

One thousand protesters laid in the sand on Ocean Beach on Jan. 6, 2007, and spelled out the word “Impeach.”

Newsham spent $20,000 on the “Beach Impeach Project” and has “organized other impeachment lie-ins” throughout San Francisco and Berkeley.

“When I first started organizing these, the park service was leery of me,” Newsham told the SFist.

“As they should be – I was calling for the impeachment and the imprisonment of their bosses… I had to go through a lot of hoops.”
