Jared Kushner Meets Abbas to Discuss Palestinian State Under Future Deal

The Jerusalem Post reports: “President Trump is committed to working to reach a serious peace deal,” Jared Kushner said, according to Wafa, the official Palestinian Authority news site.

US President Donald Trump’s top advisor and son-in-law, along with Mideast envoy Jason Greenblatt, met on Wednesday with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas at the president’s residence in Ramallah.

Nabil Abu Rudeinah, Abbas’s spokesperson, said that all issues were discussed in-depth including final status issues such as refugees and prisoners and that Abbas affirmed during the meeting his support for a two-state solution with the establishment of a Palestinian state along 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
