Judge Tells Woman She Needs Help ‘Big Time’ After Sentencing Her for Attempting Sex with Dog

A Pennsylvania judge told a woman she needs help “big time” after he sentenced her for attempting sex with a dog.

Judge Paul Cherry sentenced Rachael Harris, 20, of Curwensville, to 90 days to one year in jail after she pleaded guilty to eight counts of animal cruelty, four counts of producing an obscene performance, and four counts of criminal conspiracy/producing an obscene performance, the New York Post reported.

“This is sick,” Cherry said Friday. “You need help! Big time!”

Judge Cherry also ordered that Harris get counseling and barred her from owning any pets or working in any job that deals with animals.

The Centre Daily Times reports that Harris’s husband, Corey Dean Harris, 24, who reportedly filmed the sex acts, was sentenced to 30 days to one year behind bars last month and was also ordered to undergo counseling.

The Progress News reports that police were called to a Clearfield County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals location in November 2015 after Corey Harris’s sister turned over a video camera that she claims her brother used to record sex acts between a dog and his wife. Police later confiscated the camera and recovered four videos from it.

Harris’s attorney, Douglas Campbell, tried to get his client a reduced sentence of 30 days.

Harris did not give a statement in court and could barely be heard when responding to Judge Cherry’s questions.

The judge also sentenced Harris to 100 hours of community service, ordered her to pay a $1,400 fine, and prohibited her from drinking alcohol.
