President Donald Trump is working on a deal with Democrats to legalize DACA recipients, but he warned that “chain migration” would not be part of it.
“CHAIN MIGRATION cannot be allowed to be part of any legislation on Immigration!” Trump wrote on Twitter on Friday.

Critics of amnesty for illegal immigrants argue that if DACA recipients are legalized, they will use their new status to bring in family members to the United States, dramatically expanding the influx of immigrants.
“If you replace DACA with the DREAM Act, that will be 3 million plus,” the Federation for American Immigration Reform wrote to Trump on Twitter. “After chain migration, it will be the biggest amnesty in modern history.”
