The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) reported that 1,524 counties, almost half of counties nationwide, could only have one insurer on the Obamacare exchanges.

The CMS projected that more than 2.6 million Americans on the Obamacare exchanges could have but a single health insurance option. The CMS estimated that the number of counties that will only have one exchange insurance option have increased from 1,476 to 1,524 counties.

Breitbart News reported that Obamacare continues to experience a “death spiral.”

Sen. Lindsey Graham and Bill Cassidy are working with President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence on new legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare through block grants. The Senate will vote on the repeal bill, otherwise known as Graham-Cassidy, next week.

President Donald Trump applauded Sen. Lindsey Graham’s legislation to repeal Obamacare last week when the bill was unveiled. Trump argued that Obamacare continues to harm millions of Americans.

“Obamacare has been a complete nightmare for the many Americans who have been devastated by its skyrocketing healthcare premiums and deductibles and canceled or shrinking plans,” Trump said in a statement.

On Wednesday, President Trump tweeted, “I hope Republican Senators will vote for Graham-Cassidy and fulfill their promise to Repeal & Replace Obamacare. Money direct to States!”
