Donald Trump: ‘Hillary, Please Run Again’ in 2020!

President Donald Trump mocked his former rival for the presidency, Hillary Clinton, during a press conference on Monday, urging her to run for president again in 2020.

Trump’s suggestion that he would like to see Clinton run again came when reporters asked for his reaction to her support for the NFL player protests against the national anthem. “Hillary, please run again,” he said.

“That’s why she lost the election, honestly,” Trump said, referring to Clinton’s comments. “I think that her statement in itself is very disrespectful to our country.”

Clinton signaled her support for the protests during an event at the University of California, Davis:

“Let’s be clear: those players aren’t protesting the national anthem or the flag,” Clinton said in a recent interview. “They’re protesting racism and injustice, and they have every right to do so!”

Trump repeated his call for NFL owners to suspend players who refuse to stand for the national anthem. He pointed out that many NFL stadium seats are empty and the games are suffering lower ratings as a result of the protests.

“A lot of people are very angry at it,” he said. “It is highly disrespectful. They shouldn’t do it.”

Trump tweeted about Clinton’s running again on Monday morning:
