Two People Shot, Killed in Off-Campus Apartment Near Colorado State University

Police report two people were shot and killed in an off-campus apartment near Colorado State University (CSU) on Thursday.

A CSU student–22-year-old Savannah McNealy–has been identified as one of the deceased.

According to the Coloradoan, “Brooke Ehlers lives in a nearby apartment and said she was up late studying when she heard multiple gunshots and the sound of a woman screaming just before 2 a.m. She called 911 and said that within minutes, police vehicles were swarming the area.”

Police have confirmed that one other victim was killed in the attack but the identity of that victim has not been released. The suspect in the shooting is also dead. Police believe the suspect “likely knew at least one of the victims.”

KOLO reports that a fourth person was also shot and injured.
