WATCH: Hillary Clinton Applauds Bill for Not Tweeting as President – Before Twitter Existed

Former 2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton bragged about how her husband Bill did not tweet while serving as president, before Twitter existed, according to a video of a recent Clinton Foundation event.

The Clinton Foundation event, which took place Saturday, celebrated the 25th anniversary of former President Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential election win.

A video clip from the event shows Hillary applauding Bill for negotiating peace in Northern Ireland in his first term and getting work done as president without going on Twitter.

“There was nothing fast and easy about it,” Hillary said. “He didn’t Tweet about it, he got to work about it and he actually got it done.”

Hillary statement, however, omits the fact that the social media platform had not existed during her husband’s presidency.

Bill Clinton served as U.S. president from 1993 to 2001, while Twitter was founded in 2006. Many prolific Twitter users did not start using the platform until early 2007, several years after Bill left office.

Meanwhile, Hillary used the event as an opportunity to blame right-leaning media outlets for spreading misinformation about her and husband that destroyed their reputations.

The former secretary of state and first lady penned an entire chapter in her most recent book, What Happened, arguing that the “right-wing conspiracy” of outlets such as Breitbart News aided President Trump’s 2016 election victory.
