A Georgia teacher who is already serving a jail sentence for solicitation of sodomy, is facing an additional charge of reckless conduct of someone infected with HIV, police said.

WJXT reports that Tracy Wayne Crosby, 42, is accused of “knowingly exposing” a 16-year-old boy to HIV, a virus that causes AIDS.

The child’s mother told police that she witnessed Crosby committing a sexual act with the child in a park, Action News Jax reported.

The mother claimed her son left home without giving a reason and that she discovered his car at the park.

The Ware County School District fired Crosby from his job as a law teacher at Ware County High School after the incident, and the former teacher had also been fired from his part-time position as a sheriff’s deputy.

The Florida Times-Union reports that Crosby is being held in Camden County Jail on $150,000 bond.
