The pro-open borders Hispanic Caucus is pushing the House of Representatives to condemn Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) for his request to federal officials last week that they arrest “any illegal aliens” who attended President Trump’s “State of the Union” (SOTU) address.

Democratic aides revealed to the Associated Press (AP) that the Hispanic Caucus, specifically its chairwoman, Rep. Michelle Lujan Grisham (D-NM) wants the House to condemn Gosar, claiming his request “intimidated” illegal aliens attending Trump’s SOTU.

The resolution to condemn Gosar by the pro-immigration Hispanic Caucus is likely to fail, according to the Democratic aides.

As Breitbart News reported, Gosar requested Capitol Police and Attorney General Jeff Sessions to identify and arrest all illegal aliens who attended Trump’s SOTU as the guests of Democrats.

“A country with no borders, and no enforcement of its laws, is not a country,” Gosar exclusively told Breitbart News in a statement at the time. “It is anarchy. It is chaos. Trump was elected to restore order and enforce the law. Obama, by contrast, enjoyed flouting our laws and our constitution.”

Gosar requested the action by Capitol Police and Sessions after Democrats announced that they would be bringing more than two dozen illegal aliens to Trump’s SOTU, as Breitbart News reported. Democrats brought the illegal aliens as guests to demand an immediate amnesty be passed where at least 3.5 million illegal aliens would receive a pathway to U.S. citizenship.

The Hispanic Caucus has been relentless in its fight for open borders and mass immigration.

For example, last month, the Hispanic Caucus asked Trump to stop talking about the process known as “chain migration,” where more than 9 million foreign nationals have entered the U.S. for no other reason than to reunite with foreign relatives.

Specifically, the Hispanic Caucus wanted Trump to stop using the term “chain migration” to refer to the process, as Breitbart News reported, where newly naturalized citizens are allowed to bring an unlimited number of foreign relatives to the U.S. with them.
