A Virginia father made his ten-year-old son run to school in the rain as punishment for bullying his peers on the school bus.

Bryan Thornhill made his son run a mile to school while he trailed behind in his truck after he found out that his son was banned from riding the school bus because of his behavior.

“Hey everyone, welcome to you better listen to your dad 2018. My son has finally got in trouble on the bus enough to where he was kicked off the bus for three days because he was being a little bully which I do not tolerate, can’t stand,” he said in the video, which he filmed from inside his truck.

Thornhill, a father of two, said his efforts have been working; he had not been in trouble at school for a week after being “out his mind.”

“We’re gonna make sure that one way or another his teacher’s [sic] are gonna be able to enjoy his company at school, he’s not disrupting his classmates and everything else,” he said.

Thornhill also joked that his athletic son “kept a pretty good pace” and ran six-minute miles.

Thornhill stressed that it is important for parents to hold kids accountable for their actions.

“Teach your kids,” Thornhill said. “Don’t be a friend, be a parent. That’s what children need these days.”

The father’s video has gone viral since he uploaded it on March 1. The Epoch Times reported that his video gained more than 1.6 million views and more than 37,000 shares.
