A Wisconsin man was sentenced to 60 years in prison for trying to sell his four-year-old daughter for sex with an ad titled “Play with Daddie’s [sic] Little Girl,” a report says.

Andrew Turley received the lengthy sentence this week after being convicted of placing the ad on Craigslist back in 2015, ABC News reported.

The 30-year-old man was convicted on counts of child trafficking and compelling prostitution of a person under 18 years of age, court documents reveal.

“This case broke my heart. A father is supposed to be a protector, not a predator,” Harris County, Texas, Assistant District Attorney Stewanna Miskell said in a statement after the case. “Jurors saw the need to keep him out of our community.”

Turley was nabbed in 2015 after attempting to arrange a sexual encounter between his little daughter and what he thought was a John. The potential client turned out to be an undercover police officer.

Over the course of the 70-message round of communication, including claims by Turley that he would drug the girl before the sexual encounter and his demand for $1,000 per session with the child, police arrested the man and charged him with sex trafficking.

The sting culminated when police arrived at the home, gave him the money, and then found the child to be under the influence of some unknown substance.

The suspect was arrested at the home of the child’s mother. Police say that the mother was unaware of her ex-husband’s plot. She was not charged.

Turley was ordered to serve two 30-year sentences consecutively but must serve a minimum of 45 years before being eligible for parole.
