Donald Trump Delivers Center-Right Populist Tax Plan

Trump’s unveiling of the tax plan was a tremendous performance. Part of the secret to his success is that he sounds like what many people imagine they would sound like, given a megaphone to shout their discontent into the faces of the U.S. political establishment. That’s why Trump’s popularity doesn’t seem to take much of a hit when he gets rough with likable competitors, such as Senator Marco Rubio, who he dismissed as something akin to a hapless child during his press conference on Monday.

A new survey from the Pew Research Center shows that nearly half of Americans say immigration to the U.S. should be decreased. This marks the 50th year since passage of the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act, which has resulted in increased immigration to the U.S. and substantial demographic changes.

Poll: Jeb Bush Least-Liked by Republicans Out of GOP Field

“Among all voters, Trump is at negative-25 — that is, he is viewed 25 points more unfavorably than favorably. Bush is at -21. Among Republicans? Bush gets lower marks than anyone, at plus-1. Even Chris Christie is at +4,” reported the Washington Post about the poll. “The difference is inside the margin of error, but this is clearly not where Bush would like to be.” Both Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton and former Republican favorite Bush have seen their favorability numbers plunge.

President Obama Vows ‘Compromise’ With Iran And Russia In Syria

Pew: Whites To Account For Less Than Half U.S. Population By 2055, 46 percent by 2065

Pew’s projections in the coming 50 years suggest that by 2065 the U.S. will be host to 78 million immigrants and the foreign-born population will hit a record 18 percent of the U.S. population. Currently 14 percent of the U.S. is foreign-born. Additionally, the U.S. is home to one in five of the world’s immigrants and the immigrant population in the U.S. is “by far,” according to Pew, the world’s largest.
