House Dems Call on Pope Francis To Promote Immigration Reform

House Democrats are appealing to Pope Francis to promote comprehensive immigration reform during his visit in the U.S., among other causes. In a series of short videos released Tuesday, Democrats urge the pontiff to advocate for their issues during his address to Congress. In each video a variety of different lawmakers speak directly into the camera and address their statements and desires to the Pope.

Bill and Hillary Clinton Get Paid Millions By Drug Companies

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is in Iowa rolling out her new plan to lower drug prices, which she says she’ll do by allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices with companies. Clinton would also force pharmaceutical companies to invest a “sufficient amount” of their profits in research and development and more stringently regulate their advertising practices. 35% of All Government Personnel Wrongdoing Complaints Filed By VA Employees

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC), responsible for overseeing whistleblower disclosures and investigating whistleblower retaliation throughout the federal government, expects to receive over 1,400 “prohibited personnel practices complaints” from Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) employees in 2015 alone.
