It’s been years since I watched all this preamble, let alone a full Academy Awards, so bear with me.
After watching the local L.A. Red Carpet extravaganza featuring KABC entertainment reporter George Pennacchio I realized just how vast the divide between me and Hollywood proper is. When Pennacchio interviewed Queen Latifah and asked her about the “diversity” of the nominees I just about lost it.

What other sleep-inducing PC buzz words will we hear tonight? Are Melissa and Joan Rivers still in this racket? I think I miss them.
