Entertainment Media Pushes 'Fair Game' Lies, People Aren't Buying It

It didn’t take a genius to predict the butt-boy entertainment media would pimp “Fair Game’s” lies or wouldn’t bother to challenge director Doug Liman’s absurd claim that his film wasn’t about the politics. This was scorpion-and-frog easy to predict. What we couldn’t predict however, was whether or not Liman and his Media Palace Guards would get away with it.

If the comments section at one of the top insider film sites is any indicator, the cat has escaped Leftist Hollywood’s big bag of b.s. And not just there. Out of three websites I found where reviews allow comments, all three had commenters challenging the film’s political narrative. See here, here and here. You want to know why the elites hate everyday Americans? This is why. Our saying it like it is always rubs our overlord-wannabes the wrong way.

Mark Twain was right that a lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes. But the truth has a longer shelf life.

And from what I’ve gathered, there are so many lies in the film you’d need a flow chart to keep track. The film refusing to mention that the State Department’s Richard Armitage was the actual leaker of Plame’s name is only the beginning. And you need not sit through Penn’s over-acting to gather that Liman never mentions that a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report showed that Wilson lied about his trip to Niger. From the Washington Post, of all places:

The panel found that Wilson’s report, rather than debunking intelligence about purported uranium sales to Iraq, as he has said, bolstered the case for most intelligence analysts. And contrary to Wilson’s assertions and even the government’s previous statements, the CIA did not tell the White House it had qualms about the reliability of the Africa intelligence that made its way into 16 fateful words in President Bush’s January 2003 State of the Union address.

Yesterday’s report said that whether Iraq sought to buy lightly enriched “yellowcake” uranium from Niger is one of the few bits of prewar intelligence that remains an open question. Much of the rest of the intelligence suggesting a buildup of weapons of mass destruction was unfounded, the report said.

The report turns a harsh spotlight on what Wilson has said about his role in gathering prewar intelligence, most pointedly by asserting that his wife, CIA employee Valerie Plame, recommended him.

Wilson’s assertions — both about what he found in Niger and what the Bush administration did with the information — were undermined yesterday in a bipartisan Senate intelligence committee report.

Kyle Smith pretty much sums up the rest:

This Reuters story makes the Valerie Plame film showing at Cannes, “Fair Game,” sound like a bit of a joke. This time Plame is a globe-trotting secret agent and we learn all about how “the leak” caused her to be “targeted” by the media.

Ahem. The leak came from a non-lover of President Bush, Richard Armitage. You know what that means? The leak wasn’t done to discredit or ruin her — and didn’t. Very much the opposite. Being “targeted” by the media meant a glam photo shoot in Vanity Fair and a huge book deal and lots of speaking engagements. Valerie Plame is, by orders of magnitude, better off than she was before the leak, which was put out there in an effort simply to answer why such a flake and obvious Democratic party hack like Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC) (played by Sean Penn in the film) was sent on a fact-finding mission to look into Saddam’s nuclear program in the first place — because he was connected through his wife.

A money-driven industry does not go near another Iraq-themed adult drama. Especially when both genres have proven for the last few years to be a sure-fire kiss of box-office death.

These are pure propagandists and shameless liars who have infested Hollywood and who for decades have counted on the sick reality that those in the media charged with holding them accountable never will. Hopefully, what we’re seeing with “Fair Game” is the start of a New Media trend where everyday people who weren’t brainwashed at Columbia into believing “being in the club” was more important than telling the truth will leave their mark each and every time the Leftist Hollywood Juggernaut attempts to have its final say on history.
