…Obama needs to kick his own ass.
Jon Stewart starts savaging Obama about three-minutes in, and not just for the oil spill. Stewart is very likely to be the perfect barometer for how increasingly disillusioned the far-left’s becoming as Hope and Change devolves into Divisiveness and Incompetence. But his sharpest insight comes when he mentions how Obama stupidly caved to the Reality-Illiterate Political Pundit Crowd and only hurt himself more with his staged and wildly un-presidential “ass to kick” moment delivered on national television during the family breakfast hour.
Most pundits are leftists, most Hollywoodists like Spike Lee are leftists, and leftists actually believe emotion means something, and once again they’ve steered Their One right onto the rocks.
America doesn’t want emotion and we fully understand that not even He Who Makes The Waters Rise can dive into the Gulf and plug the leak. But emotion won’t plug the leak, either. What we’re looking for is LEADERSHIP, not theatrical tough talk.
Obama’s not in real trouble with his Palace Guards in Hollywood…yet. Stewart and Spike are simply practicing tough love in the hopes Obama can right the ship before it docks in Carterville.
If Stewart had even a speck of intellectual honesty, he’d have paused for a moment and reminded his audience of the one candidate on the 2008 ticket with actual hands-on experience in dealing with oil spills and energy companies.
You know, the former Mayor and Governor whose experience was ridiculed in favor of the Community Organizer.
