Attractive cast, but feels a little programmed and like it’s trying too hard. Writer/director James L. Brooks has been more miss than hit lately and there’s no particular charm or anything original enough to make this seem like something that probably won’t play just as well on DVD.
“How Do You Know” opens today.

“Gulliver’s Travels” opens Wednesday, December 22nd.

Just — for the love all that’s holy — keep the story simple.
Pirates 4 opens everywhere May 20th.

You just never know with Terence Malick, a director of great ambition who sometimes hits the existential mark he’s aiming for (Badlands, The New World) but who also deserves credit for at least striving when he doesn’t (Thin Red Line, the overrated Days of Heaven).
Tree of Life hits theatres May 27th,
