So Much for Pro-Choice: Anti-Human Blogger Trashes '19 Kids and Counting' Family

Californians for Population Stabilization (CAPS) is a nonprofit outfit which strives to preserve the Golden State’s “future through the stabilization of our state’s human population.” Opponents of amnesty who live in the state are usually well-served by the steady stream of material that the organization churns out, noting how illegal immigration negatively impacts Californians’ natural resources, economy, crime, schools, traffic, and so on.

So why in heaven’s name did a blogger at the CAPS website decide to unload on the Duggars, the reality television stars?

Maria Fotopoulos

Jim Bob and Michelle live in Arkansas, not Long Beach.

They haven’t used their public platform to share their concerns about the demographics of California.

They’ve never hired an undocumented alien as a nanny or groundskeeper.

The Duggars, however, are followers of the Bible and the parents of 19 children, as just about everyone in America knows. Their fame, apparently, makes them fair game for the population-control zealots and diehard greens that CAPS attracts.

In an ugly piece titled “Making Rabbits Blush,” Maria Fotopoulos claims:

“the Duggar model is unsustainable and morally indefensible for a Westernized family in an overpopulated world.”

She sniped that their lifestyle is “extreme” and that their manner of thinking is “fundamentalist.”

She complained that the couple is guilty of “out of control breeding.”

She hopes that “early menopause will shut down the baby factory soon.”

She laments the fact that there is no well-liked public figure to “call out the moral hazard” that is Joshua, Jana, John-David, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joseph, Josiah, Joy-Anna, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, James, Justin, Jackson, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn, and baby Josie.

She wants the Duggar show – “19 Kids and Counting” – to feature a warning: “Don’t try this at home.”

In contrast, Fotopoulos praised Margaret Sanger, femme fatale eugenicist, as “an early advocate of family planning” and, respectfully, cited Planned Parenthood as an authority on “birth control.”

How do you solve a problem like Maria?

Well, you can’t. Her narrow, secular mind (and perpetuation of false population statistics) can’t comprehend that the Duggars – who have decided that the Lord opens and closes Michelle’s womb, so to speak, and who do practice abstinence – view all their children as gifts, the blessings of a life of faith. They understand that sacrifice and pain often accompany such faith.

Nor can such a mindset accept the pesky reality that it is the pro-abort Planned Parenthood, not the cheery Duggars, that poses the moral danger to civil society. It’s Margaret Sanger’s ‘baby’ that is responsible for harming far too many minors and minorities, while feeding off the public teat.

Then again, to CAPS’ self-absorbed planet-worshippers, there could be no greater threat than a fertile family of traditionalist Christians, whose first allegiance is to the Creator of the planet, not to Zero Population Growth.
