The first time I heard the song See, Hear, Pray, by Debbie K and The Freedom Band, which has been featured on Glenn Beck’s 8/28 Restoring Honor Rally website and the national Support Our Troops website as well as other conservative blogs and patriotic sites, I was very moved by the message, the music, and her beautiful voice. When speaking about this song, Debbie said:
I wrote this song over a weekend with me and my guitar sitting at our cottage in Indiana. I could feel it bubbling up inside of me. We were just about to have our first Tea Party and wanted to share a song that inspired Americans to Pray for their country and to honor those that fought for our Freedom. This was one of those songs that just happened – you knew that you were just being used to inspire others. I remember finishing the last line and saying to myself ….’wow…. thanks Lord’!
Beautiful things happen when we allow our faith to lead us…like this song:

I am so glad Debbie found our site, BigDawg Music Mafia, through our mutual friend, Reese Ccup (one of our wonderful site volunteers on the “BigDawg Brigade”). When I read her bio I knew I’d met a kindred spirit. We both share a love of God, we both love music, we are both using it to promote our conservative messages, and most importantly, we are both “Mama Grizzlies” who love our families and are determined to do all we can to help fight the “transformation” taking place in our country. We don’t let any grass grow under our feet and I don’t think either of us gets much sleep.
So many songs to write, so little time.
Music has always been a huge part of Debbie’s life, having been raised in a dynamic musical family that played everything from Dixieland to Gospel. Her musical journey began at the age of four when she started singing with her family’s band. She later started writing and recording her own songs and now has two CDs available now. She has performed both as a solo artist and with the Freedom Band. Her beauty and talent earned her the Miss Chicago title and 1st runner-up to Miss Illinois in the Miss America scholarship pageant.
This multi-talented lady patriot, wife, and mother of three children is not only a gifted singer/songwriter, but also has extensive experience working in the television medium. She hosted the nationally syndicated music video show Solid Rock Video and was the “Entertainment Insider” for WONU – Sine 89.7 fm.
But wait, there’s more!
Debbie is a conservative activist who has been involved in politics for over ten years. She and her husband, Tim, are leaders in the Joliet Tea Party and Will County Tea Party Alliance in Illinois. They have hosted a variety of events and worked with Tea Party Express, Americans For Prosperity, and Illinois Family Institute. Their music inspires fellow Americans to celebrate our great country and honors those that have fought for our freedoms.
Debbie also performed with The Freedom Band at Right Nation 2010 , an amazing Midwest conservative event which she helped produce, featuring a host of other conservative leaders/speakers including Andrew Breitbart and Herman Cain, which was held in Illinois and drew nearly 6,000 paid attendees and was covered by over 50 media outlets.
Right Nation just announced this week, the new dates for Right Nation 2011 – the event is expanding to three days (November 3-5) in the Chicagoland area. Debbie will be one of the producers for this event. You will not want to miss out on this one.

Debbie is also involved in the music ministry at her church and leads worship monthly. Sharing, writing, and singing worship music is truly one of her greatest passions and blessings.
The Freedom Band consists of some excellent musicians and patriots. On guitar and vocals are Jim Kozma, Glen Bernard, and Jim Richards, and on drums is Mike Bell.
Debbie, who has just graciously volunteered to join the BigDawg Music Mafia Brigade to help us with the site. It is an honor to work with adedicated, talented culture warriors like Debbie. I look forward to meeting and sharing the stage with her at the National TEA Party Convention in Memphis and Freedom Jamboree in Kansas City this Fall.
