Is pop songstress Katy Perry vying for a role in an “Act of Valor” sequel?
The busty singer’s latest video, for the song “Part of Me,” finds her donning camouflage paint and parading around with actual U.S. Marines.
In the video, a suddenly empowered Perry breaks up with her boyfriend and enlists in the Army. She summons her inner “G.I. Jane,” clips off most of her hair and trains herself to protect and serve her country.
And the video isn’t all flash and little substance. Perry actually spoke up for the men and women in the Armed Forces.
This music video, as much as I was sore and exhausted, I was so educated on people in the service who I’ve always respected, but this time the respect goes beyond and above anything I could’ve imagined,” Perry said. “The stuff that they go through, the loyalties and strengths that they all possess, it seems like they are seriously the heart of America.
