Dick Clark Dead at 82

Dick Clark, the man dubbed the world’s oldest teenager for his youthful appearance and eagerness to embrace the latest music trends, has died, according to TMZ.com. The veteran broadcaster was 82.

The site reports he was undergoing an outpatient procedure when he suffered a massive heart attack.

Clark suffered a major stroke in 2004, but he continued co-hosting his annual New Year’s Eve celebration despite his limited vocal capacity.

Clark’s impressive body of work includes his long-standing gig hosting “American Bandstand,” starring in the popular game show “$25,000 Pyramid” and co-hosting “Bloopers and Practical Jokes” alongside Ed McMahon.

The host’s remarkable career began in the mail room of a small radio station owned by his father, but he quickly found his way on the air and never looked back.
