The classic movie musical “Camelot” arrives on Blu-ray this week in time for its 45th anniversary, and one clever Big Hollywood reader can win his or her own high-def copy of the Oscar-winning film.
The tales of Arthurian legend have inspired storytellers for generations, but the 1960 stage musical version on which the 1967 film is based arrived near the dawn of the Kennedy administration. The former’s tragic tones were quickly fused onto the doomed presidency.
“Camelot” stars Richard Harris, Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero, and the film won three Oscars – Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design and Best Musical Score.
The Blu-ray digi book includes four behind-the-scenes featurettes, production information, the theatrical trailer and a CD sampler with songs from the film.
