Will the Left Force Jon Lovitz to Apologize?

Will the Left Force Jon Lovitz to Apologize?

Thanks to a tip from a reader, the Jon Lovitz audio currently everywhere in the media started here at Breitbart News

When I first saw the tip, I almost wanted to ignore it in order to protect Lovitz. There was no doubt in my mind that if it went viral, he’d get slammed for daring to actually do something so-called comedians like Jon Stewart (star of the low-rated “Daily Show”), Stephen Colbert (star of the low-rated “Colbert Report”), Sarah Silverman, and all of “SNL” refuse to do — and that’s speak truth to power (when that “power” isn’t a Republican):

This whole thing with Obama saying the rich don’t pay their taxes is fucking bullshit. And I voted for the guy, and I’m a Democrat. What a fucking asshole. The rich don’t pay their taxes? Let me tell you something, right. First they say to you, you’re dead broke, ‘the United States of America, you can do anything you want, go for it.’ So then you go for it and then you make it, and everyone’s like ‘fuck you.’

Today, the Lovitz audio is practically everywhere and if past is prologue, he’ll be walking it back and/or apologizing/explaining within 48 hours. The pressure will be subtle, most of it will come from behind the scenes, and at the very least the message will be sent that this kind of humor is unacceptable, unless of course it’s directed at the Right.

The biggest mistake Lovitz made was in making the comedy effective; he hit the nail on the head with Obama’s class warfare and the craven Occupy movement.

What Lovitz doesn’t seem to understand, though, is that it’s okay to mock Obama in the cowardly way “SNL” and the low-rated “Daily Show” do.

But to come up with something that might stick to President FailureTeleprompter is a big no-no.
