Time Warner Inc. Named on Diversity Inc.'s Annual List

Time Warner Inc. (NYSE: TWX) was recognized once again by Diversity Inc. for its continued commitment to promoting diversity. The list of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity drew from a wide range of industries including consulting, retail, manufacturing and banking. This is the 3rd consecutive year that Time Warner Inc. has made the list.

“At Time Warner, we know that talent is not exclusive to one gender, race, ethnicity, or sexual orientation,” said Lisa Garcia Quiroz, Senior Vice President of Corporate Responsibility and Chief Diversity Officer, Time Warner Inc. “Understanding and respecting differences, as well as appreciating that which unites us all, is at the core of both who we are and what we do as the world’s leading media company.”

Diversity Inc. recognizes Time Warner Chairman and CEO Jeff Bewkes for his commitment to diversity efforts throughout the company. Time Warner was named on the list for its initiatives including tying executive compensation to diversity, tracking diversity metrics and progress, manager participation in cross-cultural mentoring programs, diversity resource groups and mandatory employee diversity training. Fifty percent of Time Warner’s philanthropic endeavors were directed to multicultural nonprofits, including the National Museum of African American History and Culture and the Hispanic Scholarship Fund.

“With a strong emphasis on talent development for underrepresented groups, Time Warner has made progress in creating an inclusive workplace,” said Luke Visconti, CEO of Diversity Inc.

Separately, Time Warner recently received the Corporate Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Award from the Council of Urban Professionals for its strong focus on providing relevant and compelling content to diverse audiences and for fostering a diverse and inclusive workforce that mirrors its consumers.
