Roseanne Reeling: 'Domestic Goddess' Trailing in Green Party Presidential Battle

This hasn’t been a good year so far for Roseanne Barr.

First, her NBC pilot “Downwardly Mobile” tested poorly, putting her return to the small screen in doubt. And now, her public battle for the Green Party’s presidential nomination is hitting a serious snag.

As of last week, Jill Stein, a physician who has previously run for governor of Massachusetts, has 75 percent of delegates thus far in the run-up to the Green Party convention in Baltimore in July.

After the Maine meeting of the Greens, Stein had a total of 96.5 delegates and Barr had 18.5 delegates.

And in another blow to Roseanne’s campaign, she unsuccessfully tried to recruit Willie Nelson as her running mate over the weekend.

Barr has one of the more active Twitter accounts around, but despite madly re-Tweeting supporters’ comments and getting free publicity thanks to her celebrity status she can’t get traction in her own party.

Maybe she could spin off and create a Domestic Goddess party and have the nomination all to herself.
