Michael McKean, who played Lenny on “Laverne & Shirley” was struck by a car on the Upper West Side at a busy intersection and injured, according to CBS News.
According to CBS, McKean was hit “when a car jumped a curb, smashing its windshield and knocking over a mailbox.”
The report said the “actor laid bloodied on the street with a broken leg and head injuries.”
McKean’s manager told CBS that the day after the accident was the first time in his career that McKean had missed a show.
McKean is also known for playing the lead singer in “This is Spinal Tap” as well as co-starring in several improvised film comedies directed by Christopher Guest (“For Your Consideration,” “A Mighty Wind”).
