Obama doesn't attend own fundraiser for little Hollywood

Talk about being second tier. Barack Obama didn’t even bother to show up at a young Hollywood fundraiser on Friday, an event viewed “as much a test of enthusiasm for his reelection as it is to raise badly needed campaign funds.”

Maybe Obama had to squeeze in just one more round of golf. He’s already up over 100 rounds since his inauguration. Instead, Obama sent Harper Reed of Obama for America, opinion researcher David Simas, and battle ground states director, Mitch Stewart.

Obama had better be careful. He needs the money badly and young Hollywood egos can bruise easily. Many were on the invite list, including Maria Bello, Ian Somerhalder, Zachary Quinto and Olivia Wilde. Obama had plenty of time for the big shots when he wanted their cash. Unfortunately, the up and comers may just have to wait their turn–at least it seems that way in Obama’s view.
